Pre-school Wheeze
Wheezing in the context of a viral infection in children between the ages of 1 and 5 years is common. It is important to empower families to self manage episodes as well as when to know when to call for help.
It is also important that healthcare professionals consider alternative causes of their symptoms.
In a small number of cases, these children may benefit from more regular preventative therapy until they grow out of their symptoms, or in some cases they may have early onset childhood asthma.
